KONTERSCHWUNG is a self-help group for addicted former gymnasts from the rear Thurgau in Switzerland. The «KONTI-TEAM» tries in its own way to cope with withdrawal symptoms from performing on the apparatus. Actually, «KONTIS» tend to hide in equipment rooms rather than present themselves to the audience. But for some time now, performances before an audience have been part of their therapy program. With a quirky «Cool Routine on the Apparatus» they are trying to reintegrate into society.
KONTERSCHWUNG has been very successful and has won, among other awards, the «Golden Spotlight from SFDRS» and has placed among the best with silver at the Kleine Prix Walo and bronze at the Lenzburg Juggler Festival. The cool routine is seen at large events, shows, corporate parties, etc., internationally. KONTERSCHWUNG has performed in Canada, Cuba, Luxembourg, Germany, Austria, Liechtenstein, and Switzerland.
