Zunfthaus zur Schmiden

At Zunfthaus zur Schmiden, you combine your event with historic rooms, modern event technology and in-house catering. In Zurich's Old Town, you can organise business and private events, workshops, weddings and banquets.

The Zunftsaal comprises 161 m² and accommodates up to 250 guests standing or 180 guests for a banquet with square tables. The Zunftstube offers space for up to 120 guests on 82 m², or up to 70 for a banquet. The 41 m² Waserstube is suitable for up to 50 guests standing or 30 guests for a banquet.

All three rooms are wheelchair accessible. The catering team compiles seasonal menus and individual offerings tailored to your event. Host Ramona Günther and our team will guide you through the event planning process.

The three rooms differ distinctly in character: the late Gothic Zunftsaal from the 16th century features wall panelling, historic tile stoves and high ceilings. The Zunftstube combines heraldic decorations with a bright, cosy atmosphere; the adjoining Waserstube is particularly suitable for workshops and meetings in smaller groups. For a reception, seminar and banquet, the appropriate setting can be chosen for each occasion. Overall, the house looks back on more than 600 years of guild history.
