Werk 8 Imposing Bar, Restaurant and Event Location

In the vibrant Gundeldinger Quarter you will find WERK 8 - an impressive bar, a creative restaurant, and a versatile event location. Here, urban lifestyle and industrial charm meet passionate hospitality. Excellent cocktails, outstanding wines, and honest soul food are not promises but standard. Whether after work, dinner, aperitif, or an exclusive event with up to 400 guests - WERK 8 offers space for encounters, enjoyment, and special moments. Urban, lively, and with attention to detail.

Interior - urban soul with industrial charm

At the heart of WERK 8, history and contemporary spirit merge. In the halls of the former Sulzer-Burckhardt machine factory, a space has been created that is filled with a sense of atmosphere. The industrial origin remains visible - high ceilings, visible steel beams, raw materials - and is simultaneously softened by homely elements like lush plants, harmonious lighting designs, and cozy seating areas.

The centerpiece is the distinctive bar - repeatedly awarded for creativity and craftsmanship. Here, cocktails with homemade infusions, syrups, and herbs from the own garden are created. Every composition is an experience - surprising at times, classic at others, but always precisely mixed and stylishly served.

The kitchen is just as impressive: soul food is central - regional, seasonal, sustainable. It's about authentic flavors, quality, and a clear handwriting. The menu includes classics like the club sandwich as well as creative sharing plates or vegetarian highlights that are more than just side dishes.

At WERK 8, there is space for everything: for a quick drink after work, a relaxed dinner with friends, or a grand celebration. The seating is flexible, and the atmosphere adapts to your occasion. From business lunch to team events to gala dinners - everything is possible. And if it's bigger: up to 400 people can be accommodated indoors, for exclusive events with character.

The combination of thoughtful design, excellent service, and culinary excellence makes WERK 8 a place where you enjoy staying - and are happy to return.
