Why should we choose a wedding film?

Photos capture the moment, but a wedding film captures the emotions, voices and movement. The tremor in your voice when exchanging vows, the laughter during speeches or the dynamics of your first dance. Only a professional wedding video makes all these aspects experiential for eternity. At Studio Hanselmann, the focus is on telling an emotional story, not just stringing scenes together.

How would you describe your style as a videographer?

Accepted Answer

My style is "Cinematic Storytelling". This means I work documentarily and unobtrusively in the background to capture genuine, unposed moments. At the same time, I use cinema-quality techniques for editing and colour grading to make your film look like a real cinema film. Authenticity comes first. I always bring 2-3 ideas for the more intimate couple moments that blend seamlessly into the rest of the film.

How long will our wedding video be?

Accepted Answer

That depends on your chosen package. Most couples opt for a highlight film (3-6 minutes) that summarises the most emotional highlights of the day with music. In addition, I often offer a longer "Documentary Edit" (15-45 minutes) that includes the ceremony and speeches in full length.

Do you also record sound (audio)?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. Good sound is more important than the image for an emotional film. I use professional small microphones for the couple and speakers to capture the vows and emotional speeches in crystal-clear quality and integrate them into the film.

Question 5

Do you offer drone footage?

Accepted Answer

Yes, if weather and local flight restrictions permit, drone footage is included in the price.
As an officially licensed drone pilot, I can also fly with special permits in otherwise restricted areas. The drones give your wedding film that certain "something" through spectacular landscape shots of the location and you get an even more special connection to the place.

Can we get to know you before booking?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely! The chemistry between us has to be right. That's why I warmly invite you to a non-binding conversation in my photo studio / creative space in St. Gallen.
What's special about Studio Hanselmann: I give you a free get-to-know-you photo shoot as part of this meeting.
Where? In my studio in St. Gallen.
Location: Just 8 minutes from the train station.
Advantage: After a very good cup of coffee or tea, you'll lose your camera shyness and we'll have some great first pictures for your invitation cards right away.

Do you offer photo and video as a combo package?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Although my focus is on videography, Studio Hanselmann also offers wedding photography or works as a team to cover both. The advantage for you: One point of contact, a consistent image style and a team that works perfectly together.

How far in advance should we book?

Accepted Answer

Popular summer dates (May to September) are often booked up 12 to 18 months in advance. It's best to enquire as early as possible once your date and location are confirmed. (Link contact form)

Do you travel to weddings outside of St. Gallen?

Accepted Answer

Of course. I work as a wedding videographer throughout Switzerland and internationally. Whether Zurich, Lucerne, Bern or abroad.
My specialities are Tuscany and California.

Question 10

When will we receive our photos and video?

Accepted Answer

Quality takes time. As a rule, you will receive a first small preview (teaser) just a few days after the wedding. The finished wedding film and edited photos are usually ready within 4 to 8 weeks after the wedding. To the offers
