Villa Bernau is supported by the Bernau Association. It operates the neighbourhood centre on behalf of the Municipality of Köniz, which is also the owner of the Villa and the grounds. The Bernau Association was founded in 1983 by those women and men who had previously fought successfully for the preservation of Villa Bernau in Wabern. At Villa Bernau, rooms can be hired for celebrations, parties, family events, conferences and courses.

A maximum of 80 people are permitted in the villa at any one time. The separately rentable chalet attic offers space for up to 70 people. The capacities of the villa, its individual rooms and the outdoor space are not added together.
