Solarschiff Thun

With our Solarschiff Thun, we create your event on Lake Thun. You book a solar-powered catamaran with captain exclusively for up to twelve guests. For your private outing, we offer year-round circular trips with a fixed route and special trips with individually tailored routes. Whether birthday, family outing or pre-wedding celebration: we discuss with you which trip suits your group.

For companies, we offer trips for meetings, workshops and team events. On request, we enhance your stay with an aperitif, a brief insight into our solar ship or professional team photos. Our boat runs electrically on stored solar energy and can therefore also travel without direct sunlight. The roof protects you from sun and light rain; if needed, side panels can be lowered.

We also coordinate catering with you. Our catering partners offer brunch as well as aperitif and barbecue options. Alternatively, you can bring your own food and drinks; separate flat rates apply for this and for the use of our barbecue. Our home port is located at Strandbad Thun. Other boarding and disembarking points around the lake are possible by arrangement and may incur empty trip costs. There is no toilet on board; for longer trips, we plan appropriate stops.
