Un havre de paix au-dessus de la ville ! Le Schloss Rapperswil est un lieu d'une sérénité incroyable. Dès que l'on monte les escaliers, on quitte l'agitation pour un environnement pur et apaisant. Ce que j'ai adoré : Le calme absolu : Loin du bruit des voitures et de la pollution, on profite d'un air frais et pur qui fait un bien fou. L'ambiance sonore : C'est un endroit sans aucun bruit parasite où l'on n'entend que le chant mélodieux des oiseaux. C'est extrêmement relaxant. La vue et le cadre : Les jardins sont magnifiques et la vue sur le lac est à couper le souffle. Un véritable moment de détente pour se ressourcer en pleine nature tout en restant dans un cadre historique magnifique. Un passage obligé !

Sono stato a Rapperswill alcune volte per lavoro e non sapevo dell'esistenza di questo castello. Questo è incredibile dato che io li adoro quindi, quando l'ho saputo mi ci sono fiondato. Il posto è incantevole, con una vista sul lago incredibile e il castello è davvero bello. Come direbbe il buon Barbieri, "il castello vale il viaggio" quindi, se siete nei paraggi, fermatevi perché ne vale proprio la pena.

Went up to the castle walls to have a wander. The second thing recommend to do in Rapperswil from a certain poplar website! Didn’t go in, as I went to the castle in Thun and to be honest see one small castle you have seen them all, at least Swiss Castles, this isn’t Wales! So I ventured around the grounds. Built in the 13th Century by Count Rudolf II and his son Rudolf III von Rapperswil. The castle also has a Polish museum inside it which isn’t particularly clear to me why, but its there nevertheless! Ok I know that a Polish émigré, Count Wladyslaw Broel-Plater who purchased the Castle in 1870 and refurbished it, set up the museum, but why? To the south of the Castle is an old Vineyard, and to the north a small deer park. There is also a nice rose garden near the grounds. Either way the Castle, perched on a hill, is where you can get some decent views of the town and of Lake Zurich.

A nice place to enjoy a sunny Sunday or an early morning. We love to go there, whenever we can because you have the feeling you are somehow on a small lovely and quite island in the middle of the city. My kids enjoy watching the ducks and the majestic swans passing by on the lack, but also they could look for minutes to the deer and the stag in the beautifully landscaped mini garden especially for them. I love to go there even alone and to enjoy a coffee while enjoying the silence (during the Sundays it can become a little crowded but during the week days it is very nice).
