Scherzhaus

Scherzhaus is one of the oldest and most characterful buildings in Köniz. Once a post-Gothic manor house, which is said to have even hidden Napoleonic treasures, it is today a vibrant meeting place for those seeking something special.

Culinary Excellence In our Scherzhaus Bistro, we pamper you with meticulous attention to detail. Enjoy barista-quality coffee, our legendary open sandwiches or arguably the finest Tamil curry in the region. Our focus is always on high-quality, regional products with a touch of exoticism.

Unique Event Locations For events of all kinds, we offer the perfect setting:

• Dachschrägi: A light-filled room beneath historic wooden beams - ideal for weddings, seminars or family celebrations with up to 150 guests.

• Locanda Nobile: Our modern event lounge with loft-style ambiance, perfect for parties, concerts or stylish aperitifs.

• Büffellodge: An exclusive smoker lounge for connoisseurs of fine cigars and relaxed conversation in refined surroundings.

Experiences that Connect Scherzhaus is more than just a venue. We create experiences: From creative pasta workshops and cocktail courses through convivial pub quizzes and karaoke nights to the winter ice stock sport right outside the house.

Whether you want to rent a space, plan a team event or simply enjoy excellent wine in a historic atmosphere - the Scherzhaus team looks forward to making your stay something truly special.
