About us
Weddings and moments of pleasure directly on Lake Zug
For your wedding, a festive meal with your guests or a shared cooking evening, we welcome you to the La Colombe Boutique Hotel and the Restaurant zur Taube. Directly on Lake Zug, we combine a personal setting with Mediterranean cuisine and the atmosphere of Zug's old town. For your wedding, we tailor the arrangement individually to your wishes: from an intimate ceremony by the water to a reception in our restaurant.
In our kitchen, we work with seasonal and regional Slow Food products. You can select the perfect wine pairing from our wine list to accompany your meal. In warm weather, you can enjoy our waterside terrace and the view across the lake. The restaurant and terrace each accommodate 36 people; we will discuss the appropriate layout for your event with you personally.
If you would like to get involved, you can cook a Mediterranean menu together with Giovanni Melis at «Cook it with Giò». This offering is designed for groups of 7 to 15 people and combines an aperitif, a cooking class and a four-course meal with wine and mineral water. The shared evening takes place on Mondays and lasts approximately five to six hours.
After your visit, you can stay overnight in one of our nine suites. Our house is located in the old town near the Liebfrauenkapelle and the historic town hall. From the train station, you can reach us in approximately 15 to 20 minutes on foot along the lake. For special occasions, we open our restaurant by request even on our days of closure.

We had a truly wonderful stay at La Colombe Boutique Hotel and were impressed by both the beautiful atmosphere and the exceptional level of hospitality.||Our room offered a lovely view of the lake, and one of the highlights of our stay was having a multi-course dinner beautifully served directly in our room, rather than in the restaurant. It made the evening feel particularly private and special. We also enjoyed a wonderful bottle of wine from the fridge, and the beds were incredibly comfortable.||The attention to detail throughout the hotel was excellent. Even the soaps, shampoos and shower gels smelled absolutely divine. Combined with the charm and atmosphere of Zug’s Old Town, the whole experience felt very special.||The hotel also arranged convenient parking for us, but what impressed us most was how genuinely helpful the staff were. At the end of our stay, we asked for help with a rather unusual personal request — finding fresh fish from a local fisherman. They went out of their way to assist us, even though it had nothing to do with the usual hotel services. That level of kindness and willingness to help says a lot about the people behind this hotel.||A beautiful place, wonderful hospitality and a memorable experience. Thank you to the entire team for making our stay so enjoyable. We would gladly return!
