How does insurance work?

Accepted Answer

You can select your insurance option when booking (after you have selected your date). There are three options:
1. Excess of CHF 8,000.- (This means you cover up to CHF 8,000.- in the event of damage)
2. Excess of CHF 950.- This is the most popular option. (In the event of damage, you cover up to CHF 950.-)
3. Excess of CHF 0.- (Slightly more expensive, but you don't cover any damage.)

Is a chauffeur included?

Most customers choose to drive themselves. If you wish, you can also book a chauffeur from us.

What happens in bad weather?

The vehicle is protected and can be used stylishly even in the rain. We'll show you how the windscreen wipers work when you pick it up. In a classic car, even a drive in the rain is a lovely experience.

How long can you book for?

Accepted Answer

Flexibly - You book the car for 10 hours. If you need it longer at short notice or if there are changes to plans/delays, we'll find a good solution.

Where can we pick up / return the Chevy?

Accepted Answer

Pick-up and drop-off take place in Thun. The car is centrally located near Schadau Castle. After booking, we'll send you the exact address. If needed, we can also deliver the car to an agreed location or pick it up from an agreed location. We can provide you with an individual quote for this option. Simply contact us via the button.

How does the booking process work?

Accepted Answer

When you click the "book now" button, the appointment calendar opens first. After you have selected your date, you set your insurance excess. Most customers opt for an excess of CHF 950.- For a completely worry-free day, you can of course also choose an excess of CHF 0.- This way we cover any damage caused.

Question 7

Is the car easy to drive?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The car has automatic transmission and power steering. When you pick it up, we'll explain everything you need to know and you can familiarise yourself with the functions at your leisure. If you have any questions during the day, we're always available by phone and WhatsApp.
### What do we do if there's a breakdown? (extremely unlikely)
The car is very reliable and we've never had a customer experience a breakdown. If something does happen, just give us a call and we'll arrange the rest. You'll be picked up directly by the breakdown service and won't need to worry about anything else.

How many seats does the Chevy have?

Accepted Answer

The Chevy has a driver's seat and a passenger seat in front. The rear bench seat comfortably seats three adults or four children. However, there are only two seatbelts in the back.

How does the fuel work?

Accepted Answer

You pick up the Chevy with a full tank and return it with a full tank. It loves unleaded 100 and will also take unleaded 98 if necessary.
