Dine together in the Emmental - with garden hut and log cabin
For a small circle of guests, our romantic garden hut with space for a maximum of 10 people is at your disposal. The log cabin accommodates up to 18 people. Both areas complement our inn and offer you a private setting for dining together. On our covered terrace, you can enjoy your time outdoors. Our basement and terrace are wheelchair accessible; a disabled toilet is available.
Water buffalo products are part of our culinary focus. The processing of milk and meat in Schangnau and short transport routes reflect our philosophy. We have also invested in energy supply for our building: a photovoltaic system is installed on the roof. Peter and Nicole Gerber welcome you to our establishment.

Ein gemütliches, traditionelles Schweizer Bergrestaurant mit einer ruhigen und sehr herzlichen Atmosphäre. Schon beim Eintreten wurden wir von den Gästen, der Bedienung und sogar vom Koch freundlich begrüsst. Man merkt sofort, dass die Gastgeber ihre Gäste wirklich schätzen. Die Bedienung war sehr aufmerksam und bedankte sich sogar, als wir nach dem Essen sagten, dass es uns geschmeckt hat ungewöhnlich, aber wirklich sympathisch. Auch der Koch kam mehrmals persönlich vorbei und fragte, ob alles in Ordnung sei. Der Tomaten-Mozzarella-Salat hat meinem Partner sehr gut geschmeckt. Wir hatten beide das Wasserbüffel-Filet mit Kroketten und Gemüse. Das Fleisch war ausgezeichnet, perfekt medium rare zubereitet und sehr zart. Auch die Beilagen waren lecker. Einziger Kritikpunkt ist für mich der Preis: 48 CHF für das Filet empfand ich trotz der guten Qualität als etwas hoch. Insgesamt war es aber ein sehr angenehmer Besuch mit gutem Essen und aussergewöhnlich herzlichen Gastgebern.

Super Restaurant riesiger Parkplatz überdachte Terasse und eine sehr freundliche Bedienung und wir haben sehr lecker gegessen, Wasserbüffel Roastbeef einfach nur Fantastisch😋
