About us
Historic hospitality and six rooms for your event
Our dining room offers space for up to 45 people. Here you can meet for card games, a glass of wine, a beer, a coffee, a cocktail or a lunch menu. In the Teufe, up to 25 people can enjoy a convivial atmosphere. For a special event with plenty of privacy, our À la carte room is available for up to 20 people. Even smaller is the Poststübli with up to 14 seats: you sit in the former post office room of Sumiswald.
For larger gatherings, our Uhrensaal, the former music hall, is suitable for up to 40 people. A separate entrance allows you independent access. Our Gotthelfsaal is designed for groups of 40 to 180 people. It served as a backdrop in the Franz Schnyder films "Ueli the Tenant", "Cheese Dairy in Vehfreude" and "Money and Spirit" and gives your event a special historic setting.
You can reach Sumiswald by train and by car. Banquets are possible on Wednesdays and Thursdays by arrangement. Discuss with us the desired room and the date for your event.
