Von Rütte-Gut is the last of the former 30 Bern patrician land and vineyard estates on Lake Biel. Its history can be traced back to the 15th century. On the other side of the lake, the vineyards with picturesque wine villages and the wooded Jura hills in the background create a unique backdrop. The listed park surrounding von Rütte-Gut in Sutz has been completely renovated thanks to generous support from the lottery fund and various partners. Historic garden elements and paths are restored to their original condition, and rare plants and animals benefit from increased light.
