CERN - Globe of Science and Innovation

For your conference, panel discussion or reception, we offer you a venue at the Globe of Science and Innovation with a direct connection to research at CERN. Gala dinners and cultural events also find a special setting in our distinctive wooden building. For private events, you can request the use through the rental offer of the CERN Science Gateway; the available spaces, services and conditions will be tailored to your occasion.

The Globe features an event space on the ground floor and an auditorium on the first floor. Depending on the level, seating arrangement and programme, various configurations are possible. For lectures, the upper floor offers up to 250 seats in theatre-style seating. Receptions can accommodate up to 300 people per level. Plan the schedule with us so that the lecture programme, networking and catering suit your chosen space.

Our building was originally created for the Swiss National Exhibition Expo.02. Five different types of wood characterise its construction; since 2004, the Globe has been part of CERN. This way, you connect your event with a building that makes science and sustainable construction visible. Audiovisual support is included in the rental offer. Subject to availability, you can additionally request a CERN tour or access to the Science Gateway exhibitions outside public opening hours. Catering and additional services are arranged separately.
