Bözingenberg

Welcome to Bözingenberg: At 930 metres above sea level, we welcome you to Biel's home mountain, surrounded by meadows and forest. From our terrace, you can look out across the Seeland and the three lakes to the Alpine chain. Here you can combine your restaurant visit with a break in nature.

In our kitchen, we prepare predominantly local produce into fresh, uncomplicated dishes. On rainy days or when it's cooler, our renovated dining room invites you to linger - for example, over a cheese fondue. In summer, enjoy a cool white wine or a fresh beer on the terrace with far-reaching views.

Our inn was built in 1885 as a health resort and belongs to the Burgergemeinde Bözingen. Following a change of tenant at the end of 2023, the building was thoroughly renovated. Today, Adrian von Weissenfluh and our team welcome you here.

You can reach us from Biel via the access road, by road bike, on hiking trails or by mountain bike via trails. Even in snow, access remains possible thanks to regular snow clearing. For your excursion, a circular walk with a return route via Frinvillier and the Taubenlochschlucht gorge is recommended. Our restaurant is open Wednesday to Sunday; the times for hot meals vary depending on the day of the week.
