About us
Celebrations, seminars and meetings in an Emmental country inn
Our house comprises six different areas: the dining room has 30 seats, the veranda has 40 and the Bärestübli has 25. For larger gatherings, our hall with 200 seats is at your disposal. We welcome you to the wine cellar for an aperitif. The terrace complements the offer with 40 seats. This way you can choose a room that suits the character of your meeting.
We cook seasonally and regionally. Our menu combines Emmental classics with seasonal dishes and typical country inn cuisine. For festive meals we have a separate banquet menu; our wine list also accompanies the aperitif in the vaulted cellar.
If you would like to stay with us, four hotel rooms are available on the first floor: two double rooms with WC and shower, a twin-bed room with WC and shower, and a family room with WC and bathtub. Our country inn, founded in 1868, preserves its traditional character with wooden beams, old windows and historical pictures.

This restaurant has good Swiss food, somewhat expensive, but I suppose relatively inexpensive compared to the city.

Pirmin Von Gruenigen und sein Team haben von meinem ersten Telefonanruf bis zu meiner Abfahrt am naechsten Tag zusammen funktioniert wie ein perfekt eingespieltes Team verbunden mit einem Laecheln und Ausdruck der Freude. Ich arbeitete auf allen 5 Kontinenten und geniesse das feine Essen und Weine. Koennte ich einen Oskar fuer bestes Essen und Teamarbeit uebergeben, das Team und Pirmin wuerden den erhalten.
