The 80th Locarno Film Festival takes place from 4 to 14 August 2027. For eleven days, Locarno becomes a meeting point for filmmakers and cinema enthusiasts from around the world. The centrepiece is Piazza Grande, which transforms every evening into one of Europe's most impressive open-air cinema arenas with space for up to 8,000 guests.
