Zest Waterfront Venue’s Boathouse at The Spit

Great event, venue, staff and food!! I was able to sit back and relax, knowing everything was in great hands with the team at Zest. The venue itself was stunning, offering beautiful views, and the food was absolutely amazing – everything we hoped for and more. What really stood out, though, was the support we received in the lead-up to the event. The Zest team was incredibly flexible and made changes to the menu and details to perfectly suit our needs. Post our event the feedback from our guests have been fantastic, they all loved both the location and the food. Highly recommend Zest for anyone looking for a seamless and memorable event!

We got married here last week and couldn't praise Rafaela and the whole Zest team high enough. Tia and Rafaela looked after us from the first site viewing until the day of the wedding. There was nothing that we asked for that was too big for them. The team is incredibly communicative, efficient and gave us very helpful advice on how to run the night. They made us feel at ease at every point of the wedding planning stage and made sure we were on track. We absolutely loved working with the team and would choose them again in a heartbeat. All our guests couldn't stop talking about how great the mood, the FOOD, the view was. We opt-ed in for the sushi bar and whisky bar and both options were phenomenal. The venue is just top-tier and Rafaela and her team know exactly what they're doing and do it so well. I first attended the venue as a wedding guest, came back as a bride, and can't wait to go back!

We cannot recommend the Zest Boathouse on the Spit, and their incredible team highly enough! From our first meeting they really inspired us and gave us great options to make our wedding really reflect us and our values. From great food stations, to spirits bars and great options for decor and table settings we loved that it was all taken care of by the Zest team. Rafaela and Tia were incredible with answering our questions and helping to make us feel more relaxed - as we knew they had things under control. Their communication was very clear and prompt and we were always sure of what they needed from us. We loved that the venue could organise everything from the fairy lights (highly recommend), to the table decor and wishing well as it reduced our stress and meant they could guide us through the best options. They also helped us with recommendations for water taxis which meant our transport from the ceremony in the Botanic Gardens to Zest was lots of fun and gave us some amazing unexpected photos. The food tasting was a great way to help narrow down our menu - granted it was incredibly hard given how delicious everything was. We have had all our guests raving for weeks after the wedding about how good the food was and how full they were. The day ran so smoothly thanks to the day of coordinator Martin! We were running a little behind schedule but he never made us feel rushed and made sure we all had a chance to eat the delicious canapes and have our arrival cocktail in the bridal suite before entering the reception. All our guests raved about the antipasto bar and the gin and whiskey station, and the dance floor was always packed. We are so grateful to the Zest team for everything they did to help make our day exceptional. It is without a doubt the best day of our lives and we honestly couldn’t have picked a better place to have our reception.

The organization was flawless, and the staff were incredibly professional, attentive, and friendly. They ensured every detail was taken care of, making the day stress-free and enjoyable for us and our guests. The food was a highlight – delicious and beautifully presented. We received so many compliments from our guests about the amazing dishes. Zest and the team are phenomenal. I highly recommend them. From the moment I attended the Zest venues, I knew I was in good hands, and that this was the perfect wedding venue. I didn’t look elsewhere. I dealt with Rafaela and Tia who were so professional and an absolute pleasure to work with. I had all my queries responded to so efficiently, and was able to book and plan the entire wedding at the Spit with only two months notice! Rafaela made it possible and a surprisingly stress free process and went above and beyond- even providing me with a list of nearby churches and locations to help me plan my ceremony! Martin and the rest of the Zest team ensured the wedding day went exactly as planned and were a pleasure to have on the day. Martin made my husband and I feel very relaxed while he took care of things, and was also very funny to chat with! All my guests raved about the food, venue, and location/view. The service was also unmatched- prompt and friendly staff members. I couldn’t have asked for anything more! The food is to die for. The dumpling and gelato bars were an absolute hit! I kept hearing all night about how fun and delicious those food stations were- I definitely recommend adding a food station or two if you can as they really helped elevate the guest experience. Even without the food stations, the food was plentiful and guests will definitely not leave hungry. The variety and quality of food offered by Zest is amazing. There’s something there for everyone. Thank you so much to Rafaela, Tia, Martin, and the rest of the zest team! I only hope that I can attend a wedding myself at one of the Zest locations in future to enjoy it all again!!

After finally sitting down to write this review post wedding and reflecting on the whole experience, I would say choosing to work with Zest for our wedding reception was the BEST decision we made. From the first comprehensive initial meeting to the incredible continuous communication throughout the process, Rafaela and Tia always made sure we knew what was going on and what to do. Rafaela sometimes responded so fast to me that I was amazed at how on top of it she is (but I've come to realise beyond her, the whole team is the same! They want to make sure everything goes as smoothly as possible for you). They catered so well to all dietary requirements for my guests and everyone on the night was so happy with their food and did not leave hungry!! Our coordinator on the evening Martin was across everything and the reception ran as planned all evening - all our guests had a lovely time. The ratio of waitstaff to guests was also thought through carefully. Thank you to Rafaela, Tia, Martin and the whole Zest team for your hard work, attention to detail and just being lovely people to work with. I was able to be relaxed throughout the week leading up to the wedding knowing that the Zest team had it all under control. I highly recommend this venue to anyone!
