Ormeggio at The Spit''s prime location and award winning cuisine are ideal for wedding and private functions including corporate events, engagement parties and other special occasions.
The full restaurant can accommodate a maximum of 90 guests seated or 100 guests for canapé/cocktail style function.
Executive Chef Alessandro Pavoni has designed wedding and private functions menus that are true to the ''Ormeggio Experience''. Guests can choose from a modern or traditional Italian menu or a cocktail style menu. All menus are accompanied by a choice of premium beverage packages. Or we are very happy to tailor a menu and package to suit you - Alessandro is great to work with and loves to make your event and menu special to you.
Chef''s Table
The Chef''s Table can accommodate up to 12 guests for a semi-private dining experience, separated from the main dining room by a brass mesh curtain. This generously sized table is located beside the window overlooking the marina, perfect for your next intimate event.
The Deck
The Deck can accommodate an impressive private dining experience for up to 30 seated guests or 40 standing guests for cocktail-style events.The Deck boasts the best waterfront views from the venue and can be comfortably used in all weather. Exclusive use of the Deck also includes the Terrazza* outdoor bar area which is perfect for pre-drinks and mingling with your guests on the lounges under the shade of umbrellas. (*Note, the Terrazza itself is weather dependent in the case of rain or strong wind.). We would go so far as to say this is one of the best private dining rooms in Sydney or even Australia.
The Dining Room
Our Dining Room can accommodate privately up to 54 guests and 70 guests for a standing cocktail-style event and provides a contemporary and vibrant atmosphere for both lunch and dinner. With bi-fold windows opening onto a stunning view of the water, you will experience the best of Middle Harbour. Minimum spend requirements apply in order to reserve this space exclusively.

We visited Ormeggio for our first wedding anniversary and we couldn’t have choose better place. Great atmosphere right by the water. Friendly, knowledgeable and helpful staff. The food was superb. All the dishes were perfect!
A restaurant with a lovely view, but overall left more to desire for considering it is a one hatted restaurant. We booked through the events organiser for a wedding celebration for 18 guests with 3 kids. There was no congratulations upon arrival and lacked the warmth and welcome that you would typically receive at venue like this. Feeling disappointed and unimpressed with the food and service provided.
Look forward to coming back on a Fri afternoon watching the sun set. The food was delicious please thank Chef and team. Good service too. Lovely location
Food, the view and the staff are always so friendly and accommodating at Ormeggio. The “A trip through Italy” menu had a good selection of seafood, each dish was beautiful and delicious. The lounge chairs are a great addition. All the boats kept the kid entertained. Also the kids menu was well liked (for our fussy eater) and generous portions, maybe a bit too generous haha.
Their staffs and hospitality are more of the show. Very professional, made the feel like you are somwhere in Italy. Foodwise, nothing really stood out for me. (Lobster risotto was my fav) Went there on half price promotion about $100 + pp, money well spent. If it was on full price, not sure
