Über Generationen war das -tis, das berühmteste Musiklokal der Schweiz. Verrückte Geschichten ranken sich um das Atlantis. Eine, die gespickt ist mit Stars aus der weltweiten und der lokalen Musikszene: So brachte Black Sabbath das -tis zum Beben und noch früher die Pianisten Joe Turner und Don Gais. Im -tis war die Lazy Poker Blues Band aus Basel eine Art Hausband. Aber auch Rumpelstilz und Les Sauterelles traten hier auf. Fernseh-Schätzchen Heidi Abel moderierte hier ihre Livesendungen, was die Strahlkraft des Lokals weit ins Land hinaus verstärkte. Seit 1947 am jetzigen Standort Klosterberg 13, war das -tis mit seinem wilden und nicht immer schlüssigen Konzept das Wohnzimmer für mehrere Basler Generationen.
