Chi soggiorna all'Hotel Splendide Royal di Lugano racconta quasi sempre la stessa cosa: ci si sente accolti come ospiti speciali, non come semplici clienti. Il personale — dai parcheggiatori alla reception, dai camerieri agli addetti alla spa — viene citato in quasi ogni recensione per la sua gentilezza autentica e la disponibilità costante. La posizione sul lago è un altro elemento che conquista tutti: la vista sull'acqua, la passeggiata a due passi, la colazione con panorama fanno parte di un'esperienza che molti definiscono indimenticabile. Un classico del lusso svizzero.
If you want to feel and be treated like royalty… stay at Hotel Splendide. From the moment you arrive the attentive bellmen are grabbing and tagging bags and ushering you to the front desk. Noemi checked us in, gave us a lovely tour, and was a smiling face each day when we had questions or were simple coming and going. Our room was STUNNING - the balcony and view were amazing we had the curtains open the entire trip to enjoy the serenity of the lake. We were in Lugano ahead of a milestone celebration at a different location & the concierge team were truly exceptional when we had a major disruption to our event - on par with Four Seasons, Aman level of service and execution. Anything and everything we asked (which was a lot) was met with a smile and a “yes of course” and it was done immediately and to a high standard. This hotel treats their guests like everyone is a VVIP & it made our stay truly unforgettable. On a practical note - breakfast was delicious, fitness center is small but well stocked & was empty whenever we used it, and it’s about a 15 minute walk on the water to the main square which was perfect for us. There’s also a ferry stop about 2 minutes by foot that has regular departures to scenic spots along the lake and a swimming pier about 4 minutes by foot. Housekeeping did a good job with the 2x a day service.
In bester Lage. Durchaus ein Grandhotel. Ein wenig hektisch bei Anfahrt. Die Vorfahrt ist ein Abenteuer. Gutes Frühstück. Wer essen möchte im Hotel, sollte reservieren…..Wenige Restaurants ringsherum…

Dieses 5-Sterne-Hotel in bevorzugter Lage am Luganersee beeindruckt durch sein imposantes Haupthaus. Die Fassade des neueren Nebengebäudes wirkt dagegen schmucklos, ist im Innern dem Haupthaus nachempfunden, was einen etwas seltsamen Eindruck hinterlässt. Insgesamt macht das Hotel einen etwas in die Jahre gekommenen Eindruck. Der Service war sehr gut. Beim Frühstück waren wir nicht ganz so begeistert, waren allerdings auch verwöhnt von einem anderen erstklassigen Hotel. Leider ist der Straßenlärm trotz 2-fach-Verglasung der Fenster nicht zu überhören.
