Gunners' Barracks Sydney

Absolutely stunning location!! Had afternoon sparkling high tea on the terrace with amazing views. High tea was lovely, a bit overpriced for what is being served, and sadly, they didn't have strawberry jam for the scones!! ... instead, a mix berry jam was served, which was disappointing 😞 Staff were lovely, very welcoming, and warm. I suppose you do pay a premium for the location! 🤔 High tea at other venues has been better for similar or lesser price range. The location is stunning!❤️😍

When looking for wedding venues, we couldn’t go past Gunners Barracks. It was the only venue we looked at and we knew instantly that it would be the perfect backdrop for our classic wedding. The venue is elegant and world class with stunning harbour views and beautiful decor, it requires little styling. The staff were incredibly attentive and the day ran so flawlessly. We had many compliments from our guests on the service, food and beautiful venue. We had some rain on our day but the staff took excellent care to accomodate our needs so that the weather did not bother us. The food was exceptional and we loved having a dedicated wedding coordinator, Jessica, to take so much planning off our plates. On the night, the event ran smoothly thanks to our on the day coordinator. I could not fault anything, this venue is exceptional and we had our dream wedding!

Our wedding at Gunner’s Barrack was an absolute successful. We had a fairly good size of 80 guests for the venue. It is a stunning historic location and the staff and food were just as amazing on the day. A huge thank you to Gabriella for helping in planning our wedding and ensuring everything went smoothly. We’d also like to extend our gratitude to the entire GB team on the day for making it so special from the moment we arrived. A special thank you to our event manager, Tom, who was exceptionally attentive and kept the day flowing seamlessly, especially when my bridesmaids were running late for the ceremony! Tom was truly our go-to person for everything. It was such a memorable day and we highly recommend the venue !

We had our wedding in March 2024 at Gunners Barracks and to this day are so happy we chose this venue. The GB team went above and beyond both in the lead up and on the actual day to make sure it went smoothly! We knew we wanted an Indian Australian fusion wedding and we couldn’t think of a better place to have celebrated our day :) All our guests both international and local raved about the location, the food and the overall vibes from the venue and the staff. The food was amazing - the canapés in particular were a big hit! Whenever any issues big or small came up our wonderful day of coordinator Emma and the venue manager Tom took control and made everything so simple for us. It was such a blessing to be able to relax and know that we could enjoy our day :) The entire waitstaff/bar team on the night were polite, attentive and kind. Our event coordinator Jessica was incredibly patient and helpful with our questions in the months leading up to our wedding day. She had great ideas and took the time to make sure we understood how the entire process would go. Thank you so much to the entire Gunners Barracks team for everything - you made our day magical!

We held our wedding here in mid September 2024. It was the perfect venue for our 45 guests, and we all had such a good time. All the different areas of the venue were amazing, and a great match for each section of the evening. The food was out of this world, and there was more than enough - even our dietary requirement guests raved about their speciality dishes and the level of service to ensure they knew all their options. We went with the shared platters option and our guests loved being able to choose. They're still talking about how good it was! The decor is very easy to work with, we went with bright flowers and accessories and it was the perfect mix of elegance and fun. We were a little worried the space would feel too big with our smaller guest list, but the space is so versatile and it felt nice and intimate. We had a few older people, as well as some babies and everyone was accommodated for, and the various spaces meant there was plenty of quiet spots for chill out time in between the festivities. Both Jessica and Emma were so easy to work with, and so professional. Any questions in the lead up were answered quickly, and we were clear on what we needed to provide and when. The wait staff on the night were friendly and attentive, genuinely couldn't fault anyone. We would definitely recommend the venue for future couples. It is a beautiful location and very fairly priced.
